It’s a great feeling when you can finally see your hard work paying off. Building muscle and gaining weight is no easy task, but with these tips we’ll help make sure it stays safe!
The bodybuilding journey may seem daunting at first glance; there are so many unfamiliar terms that come up in conversation between lifters (and even friends). But don’t worry – I’m here to break down everything important for beginners like yourself who want their fitness goals fulfilled without sacrificing anything else valuable along the way.
- Choose the right exercises.
The best way to build a strong and fit body is through consistent exercise. A beginner might start off with the most basic of exercises, but they’ll quickly need more challenging workouts in order gain muscle mass over time while still being safe enough for any individual’s circumstances including their injury history or limitations due illness such as arthritis
When performing exercises, you should always choose movements that will protect your joints and muscles from injury. You can get hurt if the weight or equipment used during an exercise is too light for its thickness; it may also occur when there’s a lot of momentum involved in ending up on one side after getting past halfway through another movement like deadlifting.
- Get enough protein.
The body needs protein in order to build and maintain healthy cells, so you’ll have a hard time getting strong without eating enough of this essential nutrient. A good rule for beginners is 1 gram per pound or approximately 40 grams total daily – but even just 20 can help!
The best sources are lean meats like chicken breast; low fat dairy items such as milk (or yogurt), eggs ; legumes including soybeans/hulled edamame beans etc.; fish rich with omega 3s fatty acids which also promote heart healthiness
- Stay hydrated.
Drinking enough water is the best way to stay hydrated and avoid cramping. Bodybuilders especially need plenty of it, as they want their muscles nice and moist so that you can see all those guns piling up on top!
- Get enough sleep.
One of the most important things you can do for your body is sleep. When we’re sleeping, our bodies are repairing and growing – which means that if we don’t get enough rest it could lead to problems like low energy or stress! Aiming for 8 hours each night will help repair those muscles fast.
- Recovery is key.
When you work out, your body needs time to recover. Make sure that when lifting heavy or doing intense cardio exercises like running for example take at least one day off per week so as not wear yourself down too much and miss out on other forms of exercise such as yoga which can help with stress relief!
